What is the best month to go to the Amalfi Coast?

Amalfi Coast is beautiful and picturesque with all of the towns living along the coast.

The best time to explore the Amalfi Coast is between May and September. This way, you’ll avoid the peak season during summer and still get really nice weather. Since May and September is the best time to come to Amalfi Coast, let’s go through some of the towns you can visit.

Capri

Capri is one of the beautiful small islands off the coast near the Bay of Naples. The landscape in Capri is truly stunning and worth visiting, even if it’s just for the views. A great lookout point of Capri is the top of Monte Solaro. This is the highest point of Capri and allows you to see the turquoise sea, the nearby lands and Capri.

Blue Grotto

Even though the Blue Grotto is a sea cave, we couldn’t help but include it! Blue Grotto is near Capri, and you must go if you’re nearby. Inside, the cave lights up to a magnificent blue and you can go inside on a small boat. Keep in mind, even though the water looks delightful to swim in, swimming is forbidden at the Blue Grotto for safety reasons.

Sorrento

Sorrento may be a small town along the Amalfi Coast, but it is one of the more popular spots amongst travellers. When you’re in Sorrento you’ll notice just how colourful the town is from the houses, the sea, and the rest of the surroundings. There is so much to do in Sorrento too that you won’t get bored anytime soon! You can sit down and enjoy a delicious meal, visit Old Sorrento, or go on a 20 minute ferry to Capri.

Amalfi

Amalfi is full of colourful houses along the cliffs and beautiful architecture. You’ll love Amalfi for its colours and the Roman Catholic Amalfi Cathedral. The cathedral has columns, gorgeous gardens, and a statue of St Andrew.

Ravello

Like the rest of the towns along the Amalfi Coast, Ravello is beautiful too. No matter where you are in the town, you’ll be able to get a gorgeous view either from a restaurant, your hotel, or when you walk around. When you’re in Ravello, go see the 11th-century gardens of Villa Cimbrone. These gardens surround a private hotel, and the luscious garden has hedges, colour flowers, and tall trees.

In general, all year round the Amalfi Coast offers incredible views. The Amalfi Coast won’t disappoint!
